MOTOLA - REACH FOR THE STARS

When you experience sincerity and clarity of message, lyrics so rich and filled with depth, an art form that is man’s, woman’s and God’s then you have just met Naija’s new Angel diva- move over, make room, it’s a different day that the Lord has made and this is more than marvelous in our eyes.

‘Motola, full name Omotola Oloyede-Oyebanjo is a talented and inspiring musician who has over the past decade been involved in music at different levels, either as part of a music group or a choir, the most recent being the prominent Chosen Treasure choir of Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s House on the Rock.

She is now stepping into the Naija music scene with her initial efforts, her goal being to bring God’s healing and hope to her generation through music, the arts and entertainment.

What is especially interesting about ‘Motola’s new career is the sacrifice she has made to move into it. A lady of many parts, ‘Motola had risen up the corporate world having worked amongst others as Multinational Corporation - Unilever’s Internal Communications Manager and as the International organization - British Council’s Head of Corporate Communications where she ultimately resigned to follow her passion.

Working with several producers including ace producer Wole Oni, Gospel Rapper BOUQUI’s brother - Jide Afolayan and ToluCCI among others, ‘Motola is currently putting finishing touches to her debut album.

Below is her debut video for the song REACH FOR THE STARS featuring leading Gospel Artiste Segun Obe , sharing a simple message – through God, you can do what seems impossible and make your dreams come through – a message that Nigeria and Nigerians need to hear very much in this trying times.

Another sphere that ‘Motola is passionate about is supporting the educational needs of others and she’s come up with a creative way of linking her music even to this passion - Ever before she launched her music career, she created a holiday concert – Valentine at Christmas which is a medium through which she reaches out to the needy in the community - using the funds raised from the concert to provide university scholarships to promising young people. Now that she’s launched her own music career, she will be aiming to take this initiative to the next level.

‘Motola’s music is a must-hear for the discerning music lover; a fresh, inspiring experience that will leave you looking out for more.
